Heddon 300 holy grail....

I've been collecting baits since 1989. My emphasis was always Heddon, among others, but my maim focus has been Heddon. For many years collector's have called some of their early minnows COPPER, but I have never seen that term in any Heddon catalogues, paperwork, or on any boxes, etc....until now. This was recently plucked from the field by some fellow collector's and I was able to trade for it recently. The end of the box is clearly stamped COPPER...and the bait is original to the box and papers. The lid is typically dated to 1905 but in this instance, it was most likely old stock as it's on a later box bottom with c1908 paperwork. I was shocked to see this and stamping so I thought maybe some other collectors would enjoy seeing it as well!!

I know a "3" can look like an "8" but that sure does look like 800 on the end. May not in hand but it does in the pic. (??)
