The NFLCC will be holding a national lure competition this year at the 2018 National Meet in Lancaster, PA. Any and all NFLCC members are welcome and encouraged to make lures and enter. If you’re not currently a member you may still enter the competition by joining the NFLCC at a $35 charge.
There will be four different classes of competition. They will be:
Open Class – any type of lure you handmade yourself
Musky or Tarpon Class – any handmade lure you made yourself and must be at least 8 inches in length
Fish Decoy Class – Any handmade Decoy you made yourself, No hooks. We won’t be able to test to see if it swims correctly or not. Must have a hanger and fins.
Open Class II - Any handmade lure whether you made it or not. It can be made by anyone. You must own it as all lures become property of the NFLCC.
All Classes – First prize will be $400. Second prize will be $250. Third prize will be $150.
Winners will be judged by a combination of member votes and a panel of judges. You do not have to be present to win.
